This page contains pictures of the hardy plants which provide a backdrop or contrast to the more showy plants. On a quiet day you can almost hear them singing that awful Barbara Streisand song 'The Wind Beneath My Wings'. Or was it Bette Midler, horrible sentiment either way and probably a significant motive for murder among those who struggle hard day by day and then see others steal the credit for all their hard work, not of course that it has any particular significance for me. I attended an ex-colleague's cremation recently where it was played and I remembered him long ago saying that when the time came he wanted his coffin to slide through the curtains to the strains of The Doors playing 'Light My Fire'. Barry will be long remembered.
